Julian Teicke is the CEO and co-founder of wefox, a full-stack digital insurance company driven by a simple purpose – to make people safe and prevent risk. This is achieved by reinventing insurance at scale using technology. Julian launched wefox in 2015 as a digital platform connecting brokers to their customers and insurers. In 2018, Julian launched wefox Insurance which is Europe’s first fully-digital insurance carrier and Germany’s fastest growing insurance company. Since launch the company has doubled its revenues every year to reach USD$100M in 2020 and achieve profitability. wefox Group is Europe’s leading digital insurance company. The business has 600 employees serving more than 600,000 customers. In 2021, wefox raised a series C of $650m – a world record for an insurtech and giving the company a market valuation of $3b. Prior to wefox Group, Julian co-founded ‘DeinDeal’, the largest e-commerce platform in Switzerland, which established a dominant market position and was successfully sold to an international media company. He sits on four other boards and advisory committees for companies. He became a board advisor for Doctorly in November of 2017. In November of 2014, he became a founding member and advisor for EMPAUA. In 2017 he became a mentor for a company called Kenjo, and the same year he became a mentor for a business called HeartSpace.
